Aaaaah. The Jersey Shore. I grew up spending summers in SIC, with, among other types of course, enough fantastic underage drinking memories to last a lifetime! Spent summers in SIC since I was 6 years old, and still fly back during the summertime for several long stays with my Pop who lives there now. I was wondering how many others here will be going to SIC this summer or are living there. Yes, I do agree that Avalon IS nicer, more beautiful, etc. but home is home *shrugs*.

I too have many great memories from SIC and it's truly the place to be if you're single. We now go to LBI since my inlaws live there however we rented a week in Ocean City this year. We plan to check out the bars in SIC while we're there. I love the carousel bar. We will be doing a lot of boating in Corson's inlet too. There's nothing like pulling a boat up to Carmen's for breakfast or the Dauvalle Inn for happy hour. When I was a kid we owned a house in Seaside Park and I loved it there too.

Oh, yes-- boating! That's what I plan to do most of this summer in SIC. Mike, if the SIC boat ramp appears to be too much of a circus-- especially on weekends-- might I suggest trailering your boat over to Avalon? It's worth the drive and everything always runs so smoothly. And the boat owners ~know what they're doing~. Well, my Pop lives on the Avalon-side of Sea Isle, so there is no decision for us.

I've never drank at the Carousel!!! Shame on me! But I feel extra good when I'm on the boardwalk jogging by all of them. Besides, if I drank during the day, I'd be out by a light by dinnertime (extreme lightweight). Have a great summer, man!

LOVE Sea Isle City!!! Spent summers there as a kid also; my uncle John had a place there - 73rd Street! Great memories...... remember "C" Isle Bakery? Best cream dougnuts in the world!!!! No longer there! Very sad.....now we go to Avalon every year.......for a week.. My sister has a house there, but we always go over the bridge to visit and party in Sea Isle! Exit 117 on the GSP.....yes, it's a beautfiful thing! :-)
